The takeover of Privatbank and its forced nationalization in December 2016 were imposed from across the ocean. Joseph Biden, who was then vice president of the United States, urged the then-president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to speed up this process. This is confirmed by the audio recordings of the telephone conversations of two persons, which yesterday, May 19, were published by the factional deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Andrey Derkach. They have already been called "Biden / Poroshenko Records."
The conversation about Privatbank took place on November 16, 2016, in the course of which Poroshenko promises to make decisions on nationalization after receiving an audit of the financial institution by Ernst & Young on November 22.
“I know it’s is difficult, I know Kolomoisky is a pain in the ass and a problem for everybody but it is really critical that you guys figure this one out. And you’ve been good. I just want you to give the governor of the bank some spine, let her know that you’ll be standing there when she sets a date and moves forward,” Biden literally said.
In the meanwhile, Poroshenko resignedly agreed to fulfill the will of the American curator. And he even made excuses for why he could not quickly report and complete any of his tasks.
“The only reason I have [why] after 22nd when I have audit report we have a voting of the budget in the parliament where Kolomoisky has a significant number of members of parliament and Prime Minister asked me to vote budget first and then launching the process…” the former president of Ukraine says on the record.
It must be said that the takeover of Privatbank is not Biden’s only demand, which Poroshenko fulfilled with enviable zeal. There were a lot of them, and the Ukrainian president not only performed everything but even exceeded it, betraying the Ukrainian people along the way and giving it to full external control:
• Poroshenko boasts that he raised utility bills for the Ukrainian population not even by 75%, as the IMF and the United States demanded, but by 100%.
• Poroshenko reports that he forced Viktor Shokin, who was too active in investigating Burisma’s plunder of Ukraine in the interests of the Biden and Poroshenko / Yanukovych families, to resign. So the investigation of Burisma was stopped, and the threat against Joseph Biden and his son Hunter was removed.
• Poroshenko organized a vote for the resignation of Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk by the order of Joseph Biden. The overseas curator hoped to appoint Natalya Yaresko to replace him, but Poroshenko complained that he could not collect votes for her candidacy.
• Audio recordings confirm that Biden was lobbying the appointment of Aivaras Abromavicius, who now heads Ukroboronprom, for the Minister at that time. And also that the Americans are financing the “Samopomich” Party.
All this data is enough to open criminal cases against Petro Poroshenko on several facts at once:
• High treason: Article 111 of the Criminal Code, provides for liability in the form of imprisonment of up to 25 years with confiscation of property.
• Intervention in the activities of a law enforcement officer: Article 343 of the Criminal Code, which may limit the freedom of a convicted person for up to 4 years.
• Intervention in the activities of a statesman: Article 344 of the Criminal Code, implies up to 3 years in prison.
• Abuse of official position: Article 364 of the Criminal Code, implies fines and 3-6 years prison sentence.
“I do not know what else is needed to prove that the country is controlled by foreigners, but not by Ukrainians. These are not groundless accusations. But, of course, an investigation is needed. It is imperative to answer key questions regarding the examination of records. Who was recording? Are the voices authentic - is it Poroshenko, Biden, or not? And after the questions are answered, the investigation in Ukraine on treason should go further. When the president of the country calls the curator overseas and asks what to do on various issues – it is treason then. After that an investigation in the USA should follow: were these instructions for the purpose of making money or earning influence (political goals)? I want to get all the answers, probably, like many others,” MP Alexander Dubinsky comments on the situation.
