Umansky’s income and assets data released

Former Minister of Finance Igor Umansky filed a declaration after leaving the government: he worked at the Ministry of Finance for less than a month. He was appointed on March 4, but resigned on March 30.

One of the reasons for the rapid resignation is said to be the conflict between Prime Minister Denis Shmygal and Umansky. The head of Government refused to take measures to eliminate the largest tax minimization scheme which was pointed out by the ex-minister of finance.

In April 2020, Umansky became an adviser to the head of the Office of the President, Andrei Yermak.

According to his declaration, the former minister and his family had the following assets in 2019:

• a land plot in the Obukhiv district of the Kyiv region (6170 sq. m.) worth UAH 731 thousand, where the private house is being constructed;

• a part of the apartment in Kyiv (71 sq.m.);

• a 43 sq. m garage in Kyiv, which was purchased in April 2019 for UAH 227 thousand;

• two apartments in Kyiv registered for the daughter and other family members (104 sq. m., 71 sq. m.);

• a land plot (1010 sq. m.) registered for his wife, Diana Umanskaya, in Brovarsky district of Kyiv region;

• the wife owns a Mercedes-Benz S500L 4matic (2010) which was purchased in 2016 for UAH 350 thousand;

• Umansky owns shares of Industrialbank as well as Epsilon Corporation.

In 2019, Umansky earned the following:

UAH 306 thousand - in the form of a salary at the main place of work and additional benefits paid by Ukrgasbank

His wife earned:

•UAH 41 thousand - salary from LLC “Protsar” (real estate agency);

• UAH126 - bank interest.

Umansky and his wife keep in cash:

• $ 25 thousand;

• € 12 thousand

UAH 96 thousand are placed on accounts.

He also has financial obligations in the form of a loan from UkrSibbank, received in 2007, in the amount of $ 59 thousand. And also a loan received in 2019 from the Cyprus IBTR INVESTMENTS LIMITED in the amount of £ 51 thousand.
