Dubinskyi stands up against the destruction of the Antonov state enterprise, supports its personnel

The initiative of the head of the Ukroboronprom Concern Aivaras Abromavicius regarding the Aviation State Enterprise Antonov will destroy the state-owned enterprise and lead to its division in private interests. MP Oleksander Dubinskyi voiced this opinion at a rally held today by the personnel of SE Antonov.

“All the cases of corporatization, integration of the personnel into the management of a company in our country, share the same goal - to force everyone to agree that the company can no longer be state-owned. And once this happens, the company is divided. This practice was widespread in the 90s. Back then, design institutes were transferred into the hands of the personnel and were bought by outsiders, with their premises being demolished and designated for the development. This led to many factories and plants’ closure, especially in the center of Kyiv. The most striking example is the Atek plant. It shows that it is not uncommon for the state to do away with powerful companies so that later a new shopping center or residential complex can appear in its place. Now they are trying to do the same with Antonov plant,” Oleksandr Dubinskyi is convinced.

The MP recalled that under the presidency of Petro Poroshenko they tried to move the aviation company to Gostomel by creating a separate company with resources for servicing the aircraft and closing the rest of it. All this was done in order to transfer the territory of the plant to privately operated companies and develop the area.

“I want to emphasize: a person who does not even have Ukrainian citizenship is trying to destroy the Ukrainian plant. I am talking about the head of the Ukroboronprom Concern, Abromavicius, who is a Lithuanian citizen. As strange as it may sound now, a citizen of a country that is part of NATO,” Dubinskyi says.

He emphasized that the blow to the aviation industry of Ukraine is delivered at a very difficult time for the country's economy. When production volumes fall, it is necessary to support industries that are involved not in commodity markets, but the production of goods with high added value. Only this way will we be able to pull the economy out of the abyss.

“The Ukrainian defense industry was among the 10 largest after the collapse of the USSR, our enterprises, including aviation, took the leading positions in the maintenance and training of flight personnel. Our planes fly around the world today, and they are the basis of the commercial cargo fleet of many countries. It is clear that a lot of money is spent on repairs, maintenance, sales of spare parts. There is a huge potential,” the MP is convinced.

At the same time, Oleksandr Dubinskyi believes that Aivaras Abromavicius, a Lithuanian citizen who is the head of the Ukroboronprom Concern, betrays Ukrainian national interests - he wants to destroy the Ukrainian aviation industry so that other countries can earn more money. It is hard to believe that Abromavicius works in Ukraine’s interest.

“The aviation industry is one of the last high-tech industries, which has not yet been completely ruined by reformers. The high intellectual and technological potential is preserved in this sphere. It is possible to create many other related industries that will boost the economy on its basis. Therefore, I am ready to support the personnel of Antonov,” Dubinskyi says.

He promises to notify President Volodymyr Zelenskyi of a resolution that the personnel of the Antonov plant will conceive with peoples’ support as a result of the meeting. As well as to involve the Ukrainian political elite and society as a whole in the discussion of the problem.

Dubinsky.pro has repeatedly informed about the destructive activities of the current leadership of the Ukroboronprom concern for the Ukrainian defense industry.
