Foreigners continue to earn a lot of money in Ukraine, despite the empty state budget and the savings initiative announced by the government. The amounts they receive per working day are rather impressive, especially knowing how rarely those occur. Information on the price of one working day of foreign members of the Supervisory Board of Ukrzaliznytsia appeared in social networks:

• Shevki received UAH 13.8 million in 267 working days - that is 51.8 thousand per day;

• Christian received UAH 11.7 million in 75 days - that is 156.4 thousand UAH per day;

• Mathieu received UAH 11.7 million in 107 days - that is 109.7 thousand UAH per day.

There is no monitoring of the Supervisory Board, so it is not clear why foreigners receive such generous salaries.

JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" remains a loss-making enterprise: according to the results of January-March 2020, its loss amounted to UAH 7 billion. In the meanwhile, auditors and law enforcement agencies consistently identify violations and crimes on the railway. Corruption in government procurement is rampant.
